But the effects go beyond pain:
Your pain is real. Every bit of it. Pain is produced by your nervous system as a signal to protect you — and it always has a reason.
Sometimes your body is struggling to heal. Inflammation stays elevated, tissues don’t recover, and the natural repair processes get blocked. Working with the nervous system can unblock them.
Sometimes the pain itself is neuroplastic — your nervous system has learned to produce pain even after the original cause has resolved. It’s stuck in fight, flight, or freeze — and hasn’t received the signals it needs to stand down.
This is not a malfunction. And it is not in your head. Whichever of the two it is — blocked healing or a nervous system stuck in survival mode — the path forward is the same: working with your nervous system is the key.
When your nervous system shifts out of defence mode, your body can begin to do what it was always designed to do — heal.

I have lived with chronic pain all my life. Once I managed to get rid of one diagnosis, a new thing would appear. I went through a health coaching certification to help myself. I educated myself on healthy diet and the power of exercise. I kept pushing through.
Until in 2021, I broke my back — and nothing I knew helped me. I developed sciatic nerve pain.
I went through the traditional route — doctors, painkillers, antidepressants, physical therapy. But the pain only got bigger.
I had laser surgery. It got worse. I had spinal surgery. It didn’t help. I had another surgery. This time, the sciatic nerve pain went away — but the back pain was debilitating.
Surgery was necessary, but it didn’t resolve the pain. The nervous system work did. It also resolved the anxiety, the fatigue, and the health issues I had carried since childhood — things no doctor, no scan, and no procedure had ever been able to explain or fix.
Today I guide others through the same process that gave me my life back.
